Natural Muslin Non-Flame Retardant

Medium-weight and heavy-weight Non-Fire Retardant Muslin natural -aka NFR Muslin natural- is an affordable fabric used for a variety of film, production, and theater applications. Some common applications include covering soft or hard masking flats, manufacturing small painted drops, or fabricating affordable cycloramas and backdrops with intermediate seams. 

NOTE: Since NFR Natural Muslin is not pre-washed its width may vary a few inches. When estimating fabric yardage to cover flats, allow at least 6 inches of extra material on all sides. The excess can be trimmed after sizing the flat.  The heavy-weight 126” wide option will typically have a longer lifespan than the 118” medium-weight alternative.

Cut yardage fabric may be folded to ship via UPS. Full rolls ship via LTL freight. Purchase multiple rolls to reduce freight charges.


Color charts are intended as a reference only. Fabric colors can vary from their web representation due to standard dye-lot variations and computer screen settings. Cut or special order fabrics cannot be returned. You may wish to order a sample to review material texture and color before ordering.
